Meet my friend Laci!
She is one cool chick who I really admire. This lady boss is so diligent, consistent, & just and all around go-getter (plus she's really sweet too). I met Laci because we're both in a group of mostly women entrepreneurs who are actively working on building our dream businesses.
Shortly, after I met her I took one of her classes via zoom, she helped me work on my flat lay photography which is so important if you have a product based business. Instead of always hiring out for product photography you can supplement with your own professional looking shots.
I thought many of you could possibly use her services, but also I just love lifting up other women who are talented, focused, and out in the world doing the damn thing, and she really is.
I like locking arms with like minded people who are pushing for their dreams even though it's hard, lonely, & can feel like an up hill battle sometimes. In truth, talking to & connecting with people like Laci helps me in my business & my life.
Besides, walking me through my flat lay photos, Laci is an awesome brand photographer, so if you need images of yourself, which most of us do, she's your girl.
She makes you feel so comfortable, and at east, that by the end of your shoot you maybe twirling around, dancing & showing the camera who you really are & which so important in our very online world.
I love talking biz stuff, but I'm always interested in learning about how others see & experience the world, so I really enjoyed getting to know more about Laci.
Question: What are you working on these days?
I am working on rebranding my photo business to reflect more of my own personal brand, so that I can lead more by example to my audience. I’ve almost finished up my new website and should be ready to launch in the next month or so.
How did you get started on this path?
I’ve always loved photography from an early age but what really set me up for this journey was wanting to be able to do something I loved everyday. I have owned my own business for the past 10+ years but never did much for it until a friend of mine opened up her salon and it sparked something in me to try to go for it.
What about your work is fulfilling for you?
I really enjoy being able to help someone and take one thing off their plate. It always makes me feel really happy when someone comes to me not sure what to do about their brand or product photos and gives me the privilege/trust to make their vision come to life. At the end of the day it’s when my clients absolutely rave about their images that fills my heart.
Ok., now for the 'woo-woo' stuff, tell me what does the word spirituality mean to you?
Spirituality to me is the essence of oneself and their atunement to the higher power within the world.
Do you believe in signs, or things that are “meant to be”, have you had such an experience?
There are always signs for things meant to be, nothing totally happens in random. I do believe we are guided to the places we are supposed to be at the right times. I’ve experienced since I was a kid small glimpses that have happened in my life in the future. A vision or premonition I guess people would call it. I never know what the scene I experience is until I’m in the situation in the future and have that deja vu feeling and realize it was something I “saw”. It feels like I just daze off or on the rare occasion a dream that shows me a small part of something I’m doing or talking to someone. For example one of the last ones I remember was dazing off and seeing myself watch a certain asian drama episode in what felt like my house but at the time we lived in an apartment with no clue we would be buying a house anytime soon. Probably 6 months to a year later I was watching tv and had that deja vu moment because of what happened in the show and how I was sitting in my living room at a certain time.
Just for fun, Do you have a favorite crystal?
Obsidian is one of my favorite stones due to the fact it is a strongly protective stone, forming a shield against negativity. It blocks psychic attack and absorbs negative energies from the environment. Obsidian is supposed to draw out mental stress and tension.
Laci, thanks so much for chatting with me! And thank you again for the class on flat lays, it was super helpful! I'm so glad to know you & collaborate with you on fun projects.
