Necklace is approximately 16' to clasp, and extends an additional 1.5"L.

Necklace is made with hematite  beads that are gold plated, accented with a shell drop pendant.

Plated jewelry is Fashion Jewelry. It won't last forever, but with reasonable care it can last several years.
